I also use GameFeed from TalkArcades (http://www.talkarcades.com/). East Coast Scripts developed a free download API for AV Pro. That works AWESOME! Games are a one click install to your site. We arent sure if it will need to be updated for the 5.2 script or not ATM but your set for the current AV version.

Yeah but I'd like some other games. Most games are the same as on Mochi.

http://www.flashgamedistribution.com
http://www.kongregate.com/games_for_your_site
http://armorgames.com/free-website-games
http://www.crazymonkeygames.com/download.php

Need I go on?

Do a search for 'games for your site' on Google or something similar.

the usual one is to do a googl search if your looking for a neich
if i want mario i will do the following search

Mario +Game ".swf"

Mario is the search, games is the inclusion and swf is the requirment

I think it's better to have well categorized, a few hundred, quality games with unique descriptions & tags etc rather than stuffing the site with 1000's of games with identical descriptions which most of them are naturally junk and noone really plays. As such I never have difficulty finding games because I do not look for tons of them. I like particularly miniclip games as they are high quality and they have an embedded high score feature and most games don't force or trick people to go to miniclip if you properly embed them as described on their tos.

About 17,800 results for ""Soccer physics-based puzzle action game. Whether you like soccer or not, it doesn’t matter"

I don't like this kind of duplicate content.

I have a load of games I made myself that I would *LOVE* if you guys added to your arcades! They are of the highest quality (I get paid to make them by large companies) so please e-mail me at joe@omglaserspewpew.com if you're interested. They are FREE of course, I just want people to enjoy my games =]

Why don't you just upload somewhere if you are giving away for free :o

I was aiming at this: If there's a game that you want but you can't download. You don't find it anywhere available for download, what do you do?

Message the site that sponsored it or message the developer.

So adding the games I like could become be a pretty time consuming and borring task. I have to somehow find the game, then download the swf, search and download an image for it, maybe scale it to fit my site , search for descrition and instructions, upload everything, then add them in the admin section.
I just hope Mochi will become this huge place that ALL the game developers will join so I could add the games I like with one click.

hi,

not exactly THAT much.

of course you have to find and download the game.

find picture? no!
just start the swf in the desired picture size and take a screen shot of your desktop. windows build in. then use any image tool to crop the pic out.

done!
i did this with the thumbs for http://quickgam.es . you see, that they are 'perfect' - not scaled.

find description and instructions? no!
just write it yourself.

done!
this are usually only a few lines. additional advantage: it makes your description unique.

thomas.

@salvador : Hehehe ! nice wordplay on quickgam.es . I expected a Spanish site ( .es extension, your name being salvador and all) and yet it's in German.
Anway thanks for the tips but all that ain't a problem. My problem was, and still remains time.

No matter what you say it still takes a while to add a site the 'old fashioned' way. And for my arcade site to reach a couple thousand games I'd need a few months of manual labor at least. And I want those games to be quality games so I just can't be clicking around on everything that pops up on mochinedia.
Anyway thanks a lot for all the tips.

As for the rest of the people suggesting sites and 'Add games for your arcade' section links on popular flash sites: did you notice that the latest or most popular games are never on those lists? They're never available for download. So theoretically I'd have to download those games myself. But I wanna be fair about this and don't wanna publish games that the developers or publishers do not agree with.

hi kayfall,

thanks.

i like the .es for giving the possibility to create words, that are 'valid' (=understandable at least) in german. indeed i am german with salvador being my last name.

i like the *gam.es, but even those are hard to get. hence i feel a bit lucky about them.
they still have to prove that visitors will remember them and *not* go for the *games.com (or whatever) instead.

of course i hate .es for costing 2-3 times the usual .de domain. :)
hence, sometimes i am quite happy (not really), if a cool domain is gone .. at least i do not have to think about registering it.

with few time to develop the projects, registering can become expensive (blaming myself here, i depend on ads/donations as of now).

but i understand the time issue, you have.

with time being a problem, i would suggest to go with mochi or the big portals. mochi has the advantange of av integration. and allowing the redistribution.

you just need to evaluate them and install with a click. if required, description can be changed afterwards.

if the stuff is not available on these distribution networks, it is questionable i one is allowed to integrate them.

discussion can be time consuming, licensing can be expensive.

hence, it seems better to me to take, what the network share, select the best and keep an eye on their new releases.

it is clear, that this way, one has never the latest games, but can have nice ones and stay on the white side.

another way would be to go with the publisher sites and download there 'free games for your site', resulting just in effort to add it. BUT .. as said before .. it does not take that much longer to write an unique description instead of copy and pasting a given one. hence, this way has not the advantage of the mochi integration. but at least, they are allowed to be integrated.

remaining issue would be to find time to check the games out.

regards,
thomas.
